What is Telehealth therapy?

Telehealth refers to the use of video conferencing for the purpose of providing healthcare services. This method of providing therapy has been around for many years and has been increasing in popularity in the recent past. Telehealth allows clients to be seen outside of the office, allowing increased access to therapy and health services for those who are not able get into an office or perhaps have other time or access constraints that would otherwise prevent them from being able to see a clinician.
Telehealth available in most states
Though, I am located and licensed in Florida, I have Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) from the PSYPACT Commission, which allows me to see clients in most states through telehealth. Please use the following link to see if your state is included: PSYPACT MAP

For those located in Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade Counties, telehealth is also available, along with in-person sessions at my Fort Lauderdale office.

Is telehealth for me?
Yes! Coral Reef Counseling offers telehealth on an easy-to-use, secure, and HIPAA compliant platform. Even if you have little to no expertise using video conferencing, you will be able to navigate this system quickly and easily. Virtual therapy also allows the face-to-face connection to remain, even if we cannot be in person. Plus, this service is available on a computer or smart phone, allowing you to have therapy from the comfort of your own home, office, even the beach, or while traveling.
