Become a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist

Becoming a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) through iaedp's certification program will set you apart from other eating disorder treatment providers in your area by ensuring excellence of care.  Iaedp’s certification program supports their mission to promote a high level of professionalism among practitioners who treat those suffering from eating disorders by promoting ethical and professional standards.

Consultation

Becoming a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) requires that applicants work with an iaedp approved consultant for no less than 24 months as a part of their certification process.  Finding the right consultant is important because this component of the training provides an opportunity to consult with an expert in the field who can help take your work within the eating disorder population to the next level.

Work with Dr. Kelli For Consultation

I have always loved providing consultation and supervision and have worked it into my practice over the last several years.  I started working in the eating disorders field in 2005 and have worked at different levels of care starting at residential, php, iop and now currently own and operate a private practice in Fort Lauderdale, FL.  I hope to be able to share my experience, expertise and insights with my supervisees and work to provide a collaborative consultation space to help them work towards their CEDS credential.

My approaches to treatment are centered around Cognitive-Behavioral and Feminist philosophies.  I also practice and supervise through a Health at Every Size and Intuitive Eating philosophy, with particular focus on social justice.  Working with me will give you the opportunity to explore cases in a deeper way and I hope to challenge my supervisees to look at the biopsychosocial and spiritual elements at play in each eating disorder client's case.  Please feel free to call and speak to me further about your goals for certification and we can explore if we would be a good fit for each other.  I look forward to hearing from you.
